Almost know the feeling. The solid ideas pile looks to be a tad high though.

Just change the date on the calendar to today’s, and that’s me, smack-dab in the middle of National Novel Writing Month, and halfway to the NaNoWriMo contest goal of a 50,000 word novel in 30 days. Add one more pile for me though … characters I absolutely hate!
    8-)

I need to snag this picture and keep it around for the next time someone wants me to work for them v. working for myself.

    No turning back!

Whoever drew that cartoon was clearly a writer! Class!

Been there, done that! Thanks for the giggle! I needed that this morning. Writing is not a career but a constant challenge. I am carrying around a quote from Steven Prsesfield, American Novelist, “Creative work is not a selfish act or a bid for attention on the part of the actor. It’s a gift to the world and every being in it. Don’t cheat us of yuor contribution. Give us what you’ve got.”

Need one more category. Re-chewed ideas. They seem to be the most popular. If its been done before, let’s do it again!

So true. The writer must grant permission to write bad stuff, in order to get to the good stuff.

    That unfortunately is so true!

Ah, so sad but true. Of course, sometimes you have to take those insipid, stupid, and idiotic ideas and turn them loose on the page and let them run around for a while just to see what happens.

I think my biggest pile is ‘Unsaleable Doggerel’. But I love it :-)

At least his ideas are very well organized.

I am not a professional writer (yet,) but at least it comforts me the next time I throw bad ideas out of the window.
