It’s a Good Thing I Don’t Want to Talk About It

0f18.jpg As I’m writing, a certain sporting event is on.

But I can’t write about it. I can’t discuss it. Because they just aired a very special announcement informing me that I’m not to talk about this event that I’m watching.

My team is losing, so I don’t want to. But what if the next game is awesome? I won’t be able to participate in any Word of Mouth Marketing.

Shame on you, Major League Baseball!

Oops!

  1. okay, I’m watching too but from a different perspective..:)

  2. I think you talked. I’m calling Bud Selig. Did you get expressed written consent prior to publishing this post?

Your team who shall remain nameless except in your tags. Looked very good today. They’re playing the wrong team, though. The team were supposed to play is now dealing with who will manage their team next year.

I’m watching my team from my adopted home now who are winning in a very close game,

  3. This isn’t related to your post - but I just found you via something… SEOMoz maybe?

You have some good stuff here - you know you’re what you’re doing as far as building content and traffic goes.

And I love the way you write:

My background is like a buffet at a seedy Chinese restaurant. I’ve worked in search engine optimization, nonprofit administration, and political consulting (that’s where the seedy part comes in).

    From your introductory post.

    Consider me subscribed!

  4. beharu and Steven - let’s be clear about why I’m rooting for the Cleveland Indians. It’s because my husband grew up in Ohio and is an Indians fan - and because I’m a Yankees fan. Therefore, it’s physically impossible for me to send any supportive vibes towards the Red Sox.

I’m secondly a Washington Nationals fan.

Vingold - thanks for the kind words. I do hang out on SEOmoz from time to time. I’m so glad you like metaphors using ethnic restaurants. You’ll fit in quite nicely here. :)

Now, if you’ll excuse me, I need to see if Vinnie Testaverde really is going to pull this game off!

  5. […] I still can’t talk about it. […]
